Drew Dickson
FOUNDER
Drew has an ability to quickly analyse clients’ requirements and design projects that are of the highest aesthetic quality, functional, energy efficient and cost effective.
Drew established the practice of Drew Dickson & Partners in 1978 and in 2000 renamed the practice to Drew Dickson Architects. Drew’s experience in the architectural profession over the last 50 years has included feasibility studies and the design, documentation, and project administration of major residential projects, from individual residential houses to high-rise apartment developments, commercial, industrial, education, resort, entertainment, and retail developments, both in Australia and internationally.
Alexander de Belin
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Having worked in architecture for over 20 years, Alex has a broad range of experience across multiple building sectors. His passion is the educational sector with involvement at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, across all stages of the building process to create exciting campuses with quality learning environments.
Alex is extremely experienced in construction documentation and project delivery. He has vast on-site experience, real-world design resolution and the ability to communicate well with clients, consultants, and builders alike.
Alex is proud of the amazing buildings produced by the Drew Dickson team.
Lauren St Clair Honey
DIRECTOR
Lauren is a highly personable and organised individual. A Director at Drew Dickson Architects, Lauren’s strength lies in her communication skills in both drawings and conversation. Creating spaces and experiences that exude personality is one of her goals.
Lauren is determined to ensure project outcomes are satisfied to the highest standard. She expresses her leadership ability by intuitively developing the individual strengths in her team members.
Lauren has been exposed to a breadth of experiences across all stages of architecture. Experiences to date include Multi Residential, Retail, Interior fit-outs, Commercial and Educational projects. Lauren has a technical skill set in documentation, 3D modelling and coordination of projects. Another of her strengths are the strong relationships built with consultants and stakeholders.
Hon Diec
DESIGN DIRECTOR
Hon joined Drew Dickson Architects in March 2021 as a Design Director. He is a design and idea-focused Architect. With 20 years’ experience, he has extensive experiences across a diverse range of complex residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use developments.
Hon is impassioned about architecture and urban design. He likes to think of his projects as unique to the clients, environments and purpose at hand, with a focus on an enjoyment of place, sustainability and integration within the community.
Underscored by solid working relationships with clients and intensive collaboration with consultants and contractors, Hon’s approach provides highly personalised architectural services to clients resulting in the highest quality project outcomes. Hon regularly manages stakeholders, professional client relationships and community consultation phases, as well as liaising with local authorities. This commitment is reflected in a number of national awards for the clients.
Philip Tsui
ARCHITECT
Philip Tsui is an architect in both Sydney and Hong Kong. He has been involved in new build multi-residential developments, Alterations and additions and commercial projects over his career. He enjoys working collaboratively with multidisciplinary consultants and contractors to bring the project to a high level of success. His goal is to bring the design alive by delivering the project from design development to completion. With his multilingual and interpersonal skills, Philip communicates exceptionally well with all.
Philip is also an avid tennis player who keeps the ball over the net and not the fence!
Paul McLean
SENIOR PROJECT COORDINATOR
Paul has been working continuously for the past 20 years in projects both large and small, local and international and in all facets of the architectural process from inception to completion.
Understanding the needs of both client and stakeholder and how these are made manifest in built form, remain the challenge of architecture and design.
Heejun Kim
ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN
Heejun Kim is a highly skilled and detail-oriented architectural technician with a remarkable portfolio. With expertise in commercial, industrial, and educational projects. Heejun Kim has left an impressive mark in both the United States and South Korea. Meticulously developing and documenting projects of various scales, their work showcases a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics. Heejun Kim’s keen attention to detail ensures each design is visually captivating and sustainable. With a passion for architecture and a collaborative mindset, they continue to shape the architectural landscape, leaving a lasting impact on every project undertaken.
Ebru Onal
ARCHITECT
Ebru is a detail-oriented architect and continuously researches and adopts new technologies to update her skills and keep abreast with the very latest architectural knowledge to deliver the highest end quality. She uses her architectural skills to have a complete understanding of the design and the concept of the project. She then skillfully transfers this perception into the construction phase with the knowledge of constructability and the experiences gained on construction sites. She believes in expanding and sharing her knowledge with an intense desire to take on new challenges.
Changlong Li
REVIT TECHNICIAN
Changlong, a master of Acoustics from USYD and Architecture Design from UNSW. Our adept revit technician wields BIM software like Revit and Archicad with onpoint finesse. With a background in design tutoring and educational industry experience, Changlong passionately assists others in conquering technical challenges with warmth and efficiency. Changlong excels in BIM models for project documentation, and provides essential documentation, Revit families, and templates adhering to office guidelines, enriching projects across the company.
Michael Dean
ARCHITECTURAL GRADUATE
Michael has had the opportunity to work on projects internationally, including Shanghai, Mauritius, and Australia, spanning across residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments. By completing his master’s degree at UNSW and specialising in high-performance stream, he has a comprehensive background in data-driven and sustainable design. Always on the lookout for the latest technologies and AI, Michael seamlessly adopts new tools to enhance the design process. Michael has a collaborative approach, working with clients and coordinating with consultants and contractors.
Will Robinson
ARCHITECTURAL GRADUATE
Will is a highly experienced architectural graduate with years of industry experience in both NSW and WA. More recently Will has worked in the UK, where he worked on various mixed-use redevelopment projects within the Central London, Bank Conservation area.
In Australia, Will has been involved in a variety of projects spanning across different typologies and sectors, including healthcare, multi-residential, commercial and retirement living. Across these projects, Will has been primarily involved in contract administration, documentation and visualisation. Will is seeking registration with the AACA in 2024.
Denise McIlwaine
ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
With a strong background in administrative skills at a senior executive level, Denise assists Drew Dickson Architects part-time, in all aspects of administration. She also runs her own Interior Design studio where she is the Director and Principal Designer. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for interiors and architecture, the combination of working across both businesses is a perfect fit!
